
24 Mar – Gillian Chung recently admitted that losing and maintaining her weight is no easy feat for someone like her who is prone to weight gain, which is why she now has her own methods in dealing with the issue.
The singer and Twins member recently shared her tips and tricks with fans, revealing that she is someone who doesn’t have the luxury of being able to eat leisurely without having to bear the consequences.
“It’s not as simple as not being able to control your eating. It’s the kind of weight that steadily goes up as long as you eat normally and eat a little casually. It’s the kind of weight that you gain as soon as you breathe and is very hard to lose,” she explained.
Thus, said Gillian, her approach to her diet is by controlling her calorie intake and she only eats until she is 80 percent full.
She stated that her general principle is to eat half a portion of staple food, enough meat, and double the amount of vegetables. She mainly drinks sugar-free beverages and also makes her own cucumber water, which is refreshing, helps to cut through the grease, and makes her feel full, while also increasing her water intake.
She further pointed out that the most common reason for failure is not hunger, but cravings, so she consumes apple cider vinegar mixed with water to suppress her appetite.
And her most unique trick? Brushing her teeth.
“It works very well. After brushing your teeth, your mouth will enter a ‘closed’ mode, and you will find it troublesome and not want to eat anything to ruin it,” she added.
As for her weight management, Gillian said that the more anxious one is about it, the more likely one will lose control.
“The key to living peacefully with your weight is to stick to it in the long term, eat normally, and not let it bother you,” she added.
