According to the health expert, you can enjoy rajma-chawal by keeping in mind your fitness goals. Legumes deserved to take the centre stage and not the sidelines, he emphasised, adding that a serving of fresh salad would also be an excellent choice as it was the easiest way to boost fibre, micronutrients, and overall balance without complicating the meal.

On an ending note, Siddhartha Singh offered a game-changing piece of advice. He said that while rajma has its fair share of protein, you can always add some more to your plate along with it. This was especially beneficial for someone who is a regular gym-goer and juggles a hectic schedule. The fitness coach hence proposed to include 200 grams of creamy, satisfying, and protein-rich Greek yoghurt on the side as it not only completes the meal nutritionally but also makes the entire culinary session ‘very, very tasty.’
